General Authority for Dry Port
The dry port is one of eight ports the Egyptian government plans to construct. Situated in the 6th of October City; outside the gates of Cairo; the hub is scheduled to become operational in 2022 and is predicted to handle 720 containers (20-Foot Equivalent Units) per day – a total of about 250,000 TEU per year.
Actel Communications S.A.E is constructing the fiber network for the dry port on the Sixth of October, the first of its kind in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Also constructing a network of internal pipes estimated at 32 Km and making an integrated network with Manholes extends fiber cables of different types.
